Find a Hurt and Heal it, Find a Need and Fill it!

That's our ministry motto here in the MBC CARE Ministry.

Jesus taught this simple truth in Luke 10:30-37.
And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

CARE Ministry
The CARE Ministry is an exciting ministry that aims to meet the needs of guests and members of our church. Our goal is to let first time attendees, regular visitors and church members know that we care about them and their needs. We strive to meet those needs on a weekly basis with team members who are available before, during and after the services, for encouragement, prayer and information.

What is CARE?
Christians Actively Reaching Everyone (CARE) is an outreach ministry where our primary focus is actively caring for others.

There are many ways to CARE. Here's a few:

PRAY-
   Pray for specific requests turned in to us by CARE cards.

WRITE-
   Hand write cards or letters for both in-reach (members) and outreach (prospects/others in the community).

CALL-
   Church calling
      · meeting reminders
      · birthday/anniversary wishes
      · hospital calls
      · shut-in encouragement
      · absentee calls
   Community calling
      · Call through the phone directory (Do they have a prayer need?)
      · Informational (to prospective members)

VISIT-
   Go out into the community and visit prospects, those in the hospital, or shut-ins.


Who is Involved in CARE?
   There's a way for EVERYONE to CARE.
      Volunteer to help in any of these areas...
         · Nursery Volunteer
         · KIDS CARE
         · Team Leaders
         · CARE ministry team member

How do I Join a CARE Team?
   It only takes ONE hour a month to CARE:
   Sign-up for the week that best fits your schedule.
      "C" Team (1st week of the month)
      "A" Team (2nd week of the month)
      "R" Team (3rd week of the month)
      "E" Team (4th week of the month)


· Nursery is provided.

· Children are also active in KIDS CARE

· Everyone stops at the end of the hour...no long/late nights
